*I'd love to upcycle your personal quilts or source one for you. If providing your own, please let me know and I will arrange to receive it.
The Process:
1. Design Consult
Upon purchase of a custom quilt coat, I will reach out with a design consultation. We will discuss sizing, fit, brand, color and design preferences.
2. Collect Material
Now's time for the thrifting process. My lead time is several months for a completed sweatshirt because this step takes the longest. All of my creations are made from secondhand material, so I thrift accordingly. I will find material in the wild, on secondhand sites, and at estate sales. You will cover the cost of material when the coat is complete. For anything found online, I will screenshot and ask you to confirm price and style before purchasing, so there isn't a blind line item on your bill. This is also the time for you to send me your own quilt to include in the piece. Once your coat has been shipped, I will Venmo request you for cost of material and cost of shipping.
3. Design Collaboration
Once all the material has been collected, I will mockup a few designs for you to choose from. If you have ideas or like one of my other designs please let me know! This is a collaborative step and allows you to fully customize your gear.
Timing: I always make a point to disclose I do have a full time job (this is not it) that fluxuates how much time I am able to dedicate to the business. Every month is a little different so the completion time can fluxuate. Please allow for 3-4 months for your creation, I will sew your orders in the order they are recieved. If you need your item by a certain date, please message me on instagram directly. Any exported timeline UNDER the 2 month wait time will be an extra +$100. This is a long process as it is dependant on the design you choose and what material is available secondhand, so I really do use this time to its fullest extent to find you the right material.
Custom Quilt Jacket
Size: Any
All Quilt jackets are $270, plus the cost of material (reason for this is that quilts can be thrifted for around $50 or $300 depending on how they are made and where they are found). I will shop with your budget and vision in mind!
*reminder that each product is one of one made with individual items found secondhand.
All sales are final. Each product is handmade and completely original using sustainable and secondhand materials.
